I can't believe you have found this blog post. I uploaded this video to my blog without ever thinking you would ever see it. So now that you've found me, I scrambling to try to make this post worth your time, so here we go. 

I have always been a researcher by nature. It was important to me to understand why we pray and how to do it. No matter what stage you're in on your faith journey understanding how to pray is important. Obviously, you could just close your eyes, open your mouth, and be good to go. 

But I personally wanted to make sure I was approaching my prayer life appropriate. Giving pray the time and respect it deserves. I'm guessing since you are here you are trying to do the same thing, right...

Prayer is a foundation element of faith. Likely because it is one of the simplest ways to transform your relationship with Christ.

Prayer is your alignment with God. Prayer is your acknowledgement to Him that you need him in your life.

12 Scripture Characteristics on How to Pray

1. Be Humble

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
 

2. Hope for God's purpose

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
 

3. Pray Continually

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
